Brady Svilich enters his third season as head cross country coach at Walla Walla University in 2026-27.
Since taking over the program in 2024, Svilich has led the continued growth of Wolves cross country, expanding the roster to more than 20 student-athletes while building one of the program's most competitive teams in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Under his leadership, Isaac Acker earned All-Cascade Conference honors and qualified for the 2025 NAIA Cross Country National Championships.
Svilich brings more than two decades of coaching experience at the collegiate and high school levels. Prior to joining Walla Walla University, he served as an assistant coach at San Jose State University from 2003-05, assistant coach at Yreka High School from 2010-13, where the program won two California state championships, head coach at College of the Siskiyous in 2014, and assistant coach at College Place High School from 2018-23.
In addition to coaching cross country, Svilich has coached track and field at College of the Siskiyous and College Place High School. He also served as an assistant softball coach at College Place High School for six seasons. In recognition of his leadership and impact, Svilich was named Walla Walla University's Coach of the Year for 2025-26.
As a student-athlete, Svilich competed in cross country at San Jose State University in 2000 before continuing his collegiate career at Butte College, where he qualified for the California State Championships in 2001.
Svilich earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from San Jose State University and a Master of Education in career and technical education from Eastern Washington University.
