Sports Medicine Philosophy
Walla Walla University's Sports Medicine staff carries out the responsibilities for all matters pertaining to the health and welfare of the student-athlete. The staff is committed in providing high excellence in care, education, and service and research to all intercollegiate student-athletes on the WWU campus. We will utilize available resources to promote the success of Wolves Athletic teams and their student-athletes. Our sports medicine staff is here to provide a safe athletic environment for all student-athletes. This includes:
  • Injury Prevention
  • Clinical Evaluation, Management. Diagnosis, and/or Referral of Injury
  • Implementation of Emergency Action Plan
  • Treatment, Rehabilitation and Reconditioning
  • Inclement weather and facility condition monitoring
  • Nutrition and health education
  • Network of local health care providers

Student Primary Insurance Options

Visiting Team Information
  • The Athletic Training room (ATR) is located in the Winter Education Complex on the Southwest side of the building.
  • The ATR will be available for visiting teams 2 hours prior to the competition until 30 minutes after the event, unless other arrangements are made.
  • Modalities available in ATR: Hydroculator, Ice machine, Ultrasound, Electrical Muscle stimulation.
  • Please send written information in regards to the athletes that need specific attention.
  • Modality treatments will only be provided if prior arrangements have been made between your school's Athletic Trainer and ours.
  • We will provide any tape techniques that may be needed, but we ask that you bring your own supplies.
  • Ice, water, cups and bench towels will be provided to each bench/sideline.
