Wolves Lose Final Tune-up Before Home Opener with P.U.C.

9/4/2014 9:21:00 AM

La Grande, Oregon - The Walla Walla University Wolves  (0-11) volleyball team dropped three sets against (9-1) Eastern Oregon University (25-15, 25-14, 25-10) Wednesday evening. Freshman outside hitter, Lauren Barlow continued her strong play, leading the team with seven kills. Senior Amanda Preston recorded 10 digs in the match, followed closely by sophomore Alissa Casey who had nine, to go along with her seven assists.

Wednesday's match was a good experience for the young Wolves team. Eastern Oregon, a top 25 ranked NAIA program, boasts two-time reigning Cascade Conference "Red Lion Offensive Player of the Week", Casey Loper.  EOU's lone loss of the season came last weekend at the hands of (8) Biola.

The Wolves look to bounce back today (Sept. 4) with a pair of home matches (1 pm & 5 pm) against Pacific Union College, of Angwin, CA.
