Wolves Win First CCC Volleyball Match in Three Straight Sets Over the Multnomah University Lions

Box Score COLLEGE PLACE, Wash.-The Multnomah University Lions (1-4, 0-4) gave the Walla Walla University Wolves (4-4, 1-2) all they could handle in the first set but Walla Walla University pulled out the win by a score of 25-23. WWU kept their momentum through sets two and three and won 25-17 and 25-16 respectively.

Lexi Shanko led the Wolves offense with 8 kills, followed by Natalie Skeoch with 7 kills and 2 blocks. Maria Darling chipped in 5 kills to help the offense while Morgan Doyle added 4 kills and 4 blocks of her own. Rylee Sutton had a match high 22 digs while Alyssa Casey led the Wolves with 13 assists and Lauren Bosler added 10 assists and 11 digs of her own.

"This was team effort tonight" said Coach Hepker about his team's performance. "Our setters spread the sets around and we had good production from all of our positions. This win mean a lot to the team. It's our first home game and our first Cascade Conference win."

Miranda Halverson led the visiting Lions with a match high 10 kills and added 2 blocks to help her team out.  Patty Batoon and Kathrynn Gerard had 6 and 5 kills respectively. Marissa Rhodes had a match high 18 assists and added 7 digs on defense. Devyn Sigurdson and Kiana Miller had 12 digs each.

The Wolves are back in action at home Saturday night, September 12, at 8:30 pm versus Warner Pacific College.
