Short Handed Wolves Drop First Game of the Season

Box Score ASHLAND -- Southern Oregon scored twice in the first half, twice early in the second and one more before the buzzer Friday afternoon to defeat Walla Walla, 5-1, in the first men's soccer game ever played at Raider Stadium.

Johnny Workman (6th minute), Brendan Allen (22'), Dakota Marquez (46'), Dakota Scott (51') and Seigo Hall (90') were the goal-scorers for the Raiders in their first-ever Cascade Conference victory. Ahmon Afenegus had two assists, while Scott, Marquez and Luis Ayala had one apiece.

SOU went to 6-2 overall and 1-2 in the CCC.

Walla Walla -- which was playing its first game of 2015, and its first as a member of the CCC and the NAIA -- benefited from an own goal in the 75th minute. The Wolves got off one shot in the game.
