Wolves Lose to 14th Ranked Yotes

Box Score CALDWELL, Idaho – Randi Sturtz led a balanced College of Idaho attack with eight kills and Jackie van Vliet added seven blocks, as the Lady Yotes took to a three-set win over Walla Walla University at College of Idaho.
 
Lexi Shanko led the Wolves with seven kills followed by Natalie Skeoch with five. Alyssa Casey had thirteen assists, and Lauren Bosler had ten. Rylee Sutton led WWU with eleven digs, and Melissa Barton added a team high three blocks.
 
The wolves started set one hot, staying with the 14th ranked Yotes point for point. With the score 8-9, the Yotes got a kill and a block to start an 8-1 surge to break away and take the win.
 
WWU (3-3, 0-1 CCC) took their only lead of the match on the opening point of Set 3, but the Coyotes turned the tables quickly, as C of I completed their second three-set win of 2015.
 
Fenton and Kylie Porter each recorded six kills; Katy Robinson, Alaina Slater, and van Vliet all had five kills; Sierra Porter had 18 assists and seven digs; with Cheyan Coburn leading all players with 20 digs.
 
The Wolves return to action next weekend with a road match at #6 Eastern Oregon then host Warner Pacific and Multnomah Bible University on Friday afternoon and Saturday night.
