How it happened

From the tip Wolves could see that offensive rebounds would be a factor.  Maddey Pflaumer scored the first two points of the game after the Warriors pulled in their second offensive rebound on the opening possession.  The Warriors would score 9 of their 23 first quarter points on second chance shots.  The Wolves got down early, a Sierra Briggs layup with just under 3 minutes to play in the first quarter closed the gap to 6 points.  The Warriors answered with a 6-point run and ended the quarter up 23-11 over Walla Walla.  For the rest of the game, point in the paint widen the gap for Corban over Walla Walla.  The Wolves to their credit worked hard to the very end of the game, scoring 14 points in the fourth quarter.  They had open looks today, but could not get enough of them to fall.  Lexi Ehlers put in the last two points for the Wolves at the free-throw line as Walla Walla lost to Corban 53-92.
