Box Score Paul Starkebaum, Sports Information Director

Salem, Ore. – Tonight the Corban Warriors showed why they are a top 10 team in the country in a win over Walla Walla.  Right from the beginning of the match, the Warriors controlled the pace in a 15-1 win over the Wolves.

In the opening minute, Timur Zhividze sent a ball to Rolando Velazquez who punch in a shot from the middle of the 18-yard box for the opening goal of the match.  From there the Warriors poured it on the Wolves as they scored eight goals in the opening half of the match.  Corban was relentless and the Warriors used excellent passing as all eight of those goals were assisted.

Ten minutes into the second, Andrew Nye took a shot from the right side to score the Wolves lone goal of the match.  After that, the Warriors responded quickly with another goal, this time an unassisted on from Nathaniel Cheney, who nailed a shot from just inside the 18-yard box.

Walla Walla would give up six more goals before it was all done.  The Wolves had quite a challenge today after playing so well against Northwest Christian yesterday.  Even though the scoring was one-sided, the Wolves faced one of the very toughest team's in the country tonight.  Corban only lost three matches last season, and with two more regular season games to go, only has one loss so far this season.

The Wolves final match of the season is next Saturday night.  They play the Lions of Multnomah next weekend as the lone home game of the weekend and the Wolves will be celebrating the team's four seniors.
