How It Happened
Jessica Sexson hit a jumper in the paint to start the game off and it set a tone for how the game would this afternoon.  Eastern Oregon has a lot of size and they used that to their advantage against the Wolves.  A minute later, Alyssa Blankenship hit a shot in the paint to put the Wolves on the scoreboard, down 6-2.  From there the Mountaineers continued to find ways to work the ball inside, and when the Wolves collapsed the defense to protect the paint, Eastern kicked the ball out for a good look beyond the three-point line.  Maya Ah You made three from deep, and the as a team Eastern shot 46% from deep.  As the Wolves have done all season, they refused to give up and played strong all the way to the finish.  The Wolves entered the fourth quarter having only scored 28 points, but in the final frame they added 17 more to that total.  The Wolves seemed to finally peel the lid off the hoop, shooting over 40% from the field in the fourth for the first time all game.  With under :20 seconds left, Alyssa Blankenship hit a jumper for Walla Walla's final basket of the season, as they lost to the Mountaineers 107-45.
