College Place, Wash. –The Wolves volleyball team arrived on campus just a few days ago, and next week they will head out on their first road trip of the season.  Walla Walla will take on three Frontier Conferences schools on their tour of Montana, starting with a double header next Tuesday. 

Key Wolves Returners:
Walla Walla return hitters Lauren Barlow (132 kills), and Morgan Doyle (108 kills) on the frontline as well as sophomore setter, Krista Schafer.  Lauren Barlow will once again be an impact player for the Wolves as well as sophomore Caldora Blackburn.  The Wolves will also look for key contributions from newcomers Jenn and Lauren Bosler.

Game Note:
The University of Providence had a strong attack and were stout at the net on defense, consistently putting the ball down on the other side of the court. The Wolves will have to shut down outside hitter, Korie Milan, and right side hitter, Mariah Diaz, to neutralize the tough wing attack from Providence.  The Argos also added seven incoming freshman this year, creating a new look for their team compared to last year.

Game Note:
Carroll College has a plethora of strong hitters the Wolves will have to prepare for in their match. Majority of the Saints team consists of returning players, with only five new additions to their team of nineteen. The Wolves will have to start strong on defense against the Saints' big hitters.

Game Note:
Montana Western lost several big hitters from their previous season, but still have powerful players on the roster. The Wolves will have to watch out for defensive specialist, Dylan Fowler, as she dug over 500 kills this past year. The Bulldogs bring a wide variety of strength with concrete hitters covering the front line from every angle at the net.
