WWR- Soccer Opens Conference Play at Home and Volleyball Goes Back on the Road

College Place, Wash. –  This weekend Wolves Soccer compete against Carroll College at 3pm on Friday and University of Providence at 8:30 pm Saturday night. Wolves Volleyball is on the road this weekend in Eugene and Salem, Oregon, to play Northwest Christian University at Saturday at 9pm, and Corban University at 3pm on Sunday.
 
Wolves Soccer Match-Ups
 
Wolves vs. Carroll College (2-1)   - 3:00 P.M. – Friday, September 15 2017
 
The Numbers
  • # 21 Sam Malouf (MF), 4 goals
  • # 17 Eric Hollenbaugh (MF), 1 goal, 2 assists
  • # 8 Alessio Georgiades (MF), 1 goal, 2 assists
  • # 1 Dominique Beauboeuf (GK), 7 saves
 
Match Note
 
Look for Carroll College's high-powered offense, led by Malouf and watch for Hollenbaugh and Georgiades coming in strong for assists. Rodrigo Portillo, Kyle Thomson, and Henry Smaldon have added 3 goals each to the Saints offense, creating a widespread attack for Carroll.  The game will be a good match-up for the Wolves.

Match Note
 
University of Providence offense is spread out, with many different players having scored a goal so far this year.  Walla Walla will have to on guard from a multitude of players including but not limited to Gomez, Bisbo, Macias, and Almedia. Goalie Marc Girones, already has 22 saves this season and the Wolves will need to put the pressure on to a ball passed him.

Match Note
 
Look for heavy hitters Claire Salness, Natalie Downes, and Keri Schwarz as the Wolves play NCU this weekend. The Beacons put up a strong block, and the Wolves that the Wolves will have to prepare to hit around.  Look for consistent defense from Haley Damian and Kayla Olson from the Beacons as well.

Match Note
 
Corban leaders Parker and Aguayo will be swinging hard in the Wolves matchup. Parker leads the team with consistent and powerful kills.  Warriors also dominate the net with an excellent block powered by Alaina Gentili and Marandah Boeder.  Look for Libero, Haley Wells, as she roams the backrow.  She already has 219 digs this season.
