College Place, Wash. – The men's soccer team travelled to Ashland, Oregon today to play the Raiders of Southern Oregon (4-5, 4-0).  Walla Walla (0-6, 0-5) was not able to overcome the Raiders today, as the Raiders beat the Wolves 9-0.

Walla Walla protect the goal well in the opening minutes despite several shots from the Raiders.  In the 14th minute, Mitchell Pinney put in a header off a cross from the left from Gonzalo Garcia for the first goal of the game.  A few minutes later Walla Walla's Emmett Semple and Jordan St. George just missed on scoring opportunities.  The Raiders recovered and Esteban Castaneda took a cross from Kelly Gieber and put a ball in the center of the net for Southern Oregon's second goal of the game.  The Raiders would continue to find space to attack the Wolves defense, and they were ahead 5-0 heading into the half.

In the second half Southern Oregon continued to find ways to score.  Walla Walla had several opportunities but was not able to convert them into points.  In the 76th minute Mitchell Pinney score the final goal of the match putting the ball just over the keepers head to make the score 9-0 in favor of Southern Oregon.
