Wolves Drop Both Matches in Portland Road Trip

Portland, Ore. – The Wolves traveled to Portland this weekend for matchups against Warner Pacific University and Multnomah University. The Wolves (0-14-0, 0-10-0 CCC) would have first half deficits of each match and eventually drop both matches to the Knights (5-8-1, 3-8-1 CCC) and Lions (3-9-0, 1-7-0 CCC).
 
Against Warner Pacific University, the Wolves saw the Knights score four goals in the first half. The Wolves would not be able to overcome the first half and would allow three additional goals in the second half. The Knights would ride their hot first half and blank the Wolves 7-0.

Against Multnomah, the Wolves would give up a goal to the Lions in the first 10 minutes; however, the Wolves would clamp down on defense and not allow another goal to the Lions in the first half. The Wolves would go into halftime trailing 1-0 to the Lions.
 
The Wolves and Lions would battle back-and-forth for the next 60 minutes without either team converting shots into goals. The match would see its fair share of chippy play as each team received three yellow cards between the 33rd and 78th minutes. Throughout this play, the Lions would convert and find the back of the net to increase their lead to 2-0. The Wolves would not be able to make up any ground and would drop the match, 2-0.
