Wolves Fall to Argos on Sunday Afternoon

Great Falls, Mont. – The Wolves continued their road trip and traveled to Great Falls, Mont. for a Sunday morning tilt against the Argos of University of Providence. Early goals by the Argos (2-3, 1-1) would put the Wolves (0-6, 0-2 CCC) in an early deficit, leading to an 8-0 victory for the Argos, who would pick up their first win in conference play.

The Argos would strike in the 1st minute and not look back, scoring three more goals before intermission, putting the Wolves in a 4-0 halftime deficit.

Coming out of halftime the Wolves looked to create some scoring opportunities, however were unsuccessful finding the back of the net. The Argos would take advantage of their 14 total shots in the second half, converting them to four more goals en route to an 8-0 victory.

William Burns spoke after the game about his reaction to the game. "Much better performance today. Our defensive rotations were better," said Burns. "We need to work on possession and keeping the ball. A few times this game we played solid defense and won the ball, but played it right back to the opponent. We'll have a good week of practice and be better on Friday."
