Short Handed Wolves Fall to Northwest University Despite Career Game From Titi Graham

Kirkland, Wash. – Walla Walla concluded their weekend series with the Eagles of Northwest University on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles took advantage of a short-handed Wolves squad and swept the weekend series.

THE BASICS:
Final:  Northwest University 69, Walla Walla 48
Records: Northwest University (7-14, 4-7 CCC), WWU (2-17, 1-9 CCC) 
 
GAME NOTES:
  • Playing with six players, Walla Walla received a spark in the first quarter from Britnee Guerrero and her 10 points. The Wolves continued to fight into the second quarter, only trailing by eight at halftime, 36-28.
  • The third quarter seemed to be the difference as the Wolves were held to eight points while Northwest University scored 15.
  • Entering the fourth quarter down by 15, the Wolves ran out of gas, as the Eagles knocked down four triples to put the game out of reach.

PLAYER SPOTLIGHTS:
  • Three Wolves notched double-digit scoring outings, led by Titi Graham, who posted a career high 22 points on 11/14 from the field.
  • Four of the six Wolves that played logged 35+ minutes.
  • Three Eagles recorded double-digit scoring outings with Miranda Langenhorst leading the way again and notching another double-double (11 points, 14 rebounds) to lead her team to victory.

NEXT GAME:
The Wolves will look to bounce back as they travel home and have a few days before they welcome in the Knights of Warner Pacific . The weekend series will tip-off on Saturday, January 19 at 6:30 p.m. on Windemuth Court.
