La Grande, Ore. – No. 10 Eastern Oregon picked up a pair of victories over the weekend by defeating Walla Walla in back-to-back contests.
Game one saw the Mountaineers (20-2, 14-0 CCC) record six players with 10+ points en route to a 98-47 over the Wolves (2-21, 1-13 CCC). Despite the loss, Sophomore guard
Carolina Montes continued breaking records by knocking down five 3-pointers, setting the new CCC school record and her career high in that category. Montes' 29 points would tie her career high and the CCC school scoring record she previously set.
Game two saw the Mountaineers record another six players with 10+ points leading to a 111-48 victory. The Mountaineers defense piloted them to victory, scoring 41 points off Wolves turnovers.

The Wolves will now get some rest before hosting Oregon Tech (15-8, 9-4 CCC) Friday for their first matchup of the weekend. Tipoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Windemuth Court.
