College Place, Wash. – Walla Walla kicked off their 2019 season by hosting the Warriors of Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC), who also was opening their 2019 campaign. The Warriors registered 37 kills en route to a three-set victory, 25-16, 25-11, 25-15.

GAME NOTES:
- LCSC registered a .313 hitting percentage, compiling 38 kills over the three sets.
- The first set saw the Warriors and Wolves battle neck-and-neck, as the scoreboard displayed 16 for both squads. Unfortunately, the Wolves sat on 16 while the Warriors reeled off a 9-0 to close the opening set.
- After dropping the second set, 25-11, the Wolves responded in the third set, trailing 14-15 midway through the set, however the Warriors went on an 8-0 run that fueled them to victory in the deciding set.
PLAYER HIGHLIGHTS:
- The Warriors were led by a balanced attack, as six Warriors recorded at least 4 kills. Josilyn Remick notched 17 assists, while Jess Ruffing recorded 12.
- The Wolves were led by Gabrielle Browning and her 7 kills, while Krista Schafer notched 8 assists.
NEXT GAME:
The Wolves will travel Columbia Basin Community College for a scrimmage on Friday, August 16, before hitting the road to California for a 5-game road trip.
