COLLEGE PLACE, WASH. – Walla Walla hosted the No. 13-Ranked Mountaineers of Eastern Oregon University (EOU) tonight on Windemuth Court. EOU displayed a complete team effort, as nine of 14 players registered at least one kill to lead the visiting team to a 3-0 match win.

GAME NOTES:
- The Mountaineers reeled off the first nine points of the opening set, eventually taking the set 25-11.
- Set two would be the best set the Wolves put together, as they battled out to a 13-10 lead midway through the set. The Mountaineers responded with their best stretch of set two, putting together an 11-0 run to reclaim the lead and would eventually close out the set, 25-14.
- Despite being down 2-0 in the match, the Wolves started off set three strong, building a 10-9 lead, but the Mountaineers quickly responded and shut the door on a Wolves set comeback, going on a 15-1 run to put the set out of reach and dropping the Wolves in the final set, 25-14.
PLAYER HIGHLIGHTS:
- The Mountaineers were led by a balanced offensive attack as nine Mountaineers registered at least one kill, led by Jet Taylors nine kills and five aces. Alexis McMurtrey recorded 20 assists, Hailey Arritola led the defense with 11 digs.
- The Wolves were led by Gabrielle Browning (7 kills and 8 digs), Meherio Krainer (12 assists and 10 digs), and Idalis Bedore (7 digs)

Walla Walla continues their season on Tuesday night, welcoming in Lewis-Clark State College (Idaho). The match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.
