KLAMATH FALLS, ORE. – The Walla Walla cross country team continued its season, racing in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Preview, hosted by Oregon Tech at Running Y Ranch Golf Course. On the men's side, the team placed fourth, while
Justin Corral-Yanez continued making history, running his fastest 8K ever, finishing in fourth place with a time of 26:05.2 beating his previous personal best of 26:05.85. The women, only having two runners, did not receive a team score.
FINAL RESULTS
Along with Justin Corral Yanez's personal best,
William Su ran a time of 27:13.30 to give him a 10th place finish and give the Wolves two Top 10 finishers. The fourth-place finish by Corral-Yanez is the second-best finish for a Wolves individual runner in the two CCC Preview Meets the Wolves have raced in. The trio of
Hector Ruvalcaba,
KiAndre Gaddy, and
Avery Stuart finished all right by each other, running times of 32:23.40, 36:13.20, and 39:17.00, rounding out the remaining times on the men's side.
The duo of
Madelyn Stuart and
Gabriela Ballance finished right by each other, finishing in 15th and 17th place in the 5K race. Stuart ran a time of 26:49.40 and Ballance ran a time of 28:34.80.
The Wolves will race next at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships on Friday, November 5 in Klamath Falls, Ore. at the same Running Y Ranch Golf Course.
