COLLEGE PLACE, WASH. - Walla Walla hosted No. 19-Ranked Lewis-Clark State College to start their 2021-22 Cascade Collegiate Conference season. The Warriors shot 50-plus from the field to secure their first conference win of the season.

THE BASICS:
Final:  #19 LCSC 95 , Walla Walla 73
Records:   #19 LCSC (6-0, 1-0 CCC), Walla Walla (0-6, 0-1 CCC)

 GAME NOTES:

  • The Wolves and Warriors opened the half exchanging points as Wolves guard Caleb Golden scored five of the Wolves' first seven points for a quick 7-6 lead. The Warriors responded with a run of their own to retake the lead with a 6-0 run. Both teams would go back-and-forth the next 10 minutes, as neither team could build a comfortable lead.
  • A Michael Daley jumper with under four minutes remaining would cut the Wolves deficit to 31-27, but the Warriors would close out the half on a 14-4 run to take a 45-31 lead heading into the half.
  • The Warriors would build their lead out to 18 points in the early stages of the second half, but a quick 8-0 Wolves' run would get them within striking distance at the 15-minute mark.
  • Unfortunately for the Wolves, the Warriors would limit the Wolves from putting together the much-needed run they had to have, stretching their lead out to 20 points at the five-minute mark and maintaining this lead as the final buzzer sounded.
