Walla Walla Plays to a 1-1 Tie with NCAA Opponent George Fox University

Program Records First-Ever Draw Against an NCAA Opponent

NEWBERG, ORE. – Walla Walla traveled to Newberg, Ore. to take on George Fox University (GFU) for the Wolves first countable matchup in 650-plus days. Despite the match ending in a 1-1 tie, the Wolves made history, recording its first-ever draw against an NCAA opponent.

THE NUMBERS:
  • The Wolves were able to finally break a 0-0 tie, as Forward Christopher Salazar gave the Wolves a 1-0 lead in the 63rd minute.
  • With less than 10 minutes remaining, GFU's Joshua Chang found Trevor Putnam to tie up the score 1-1.
NEXT GAME:
The Wolves continue their road trip with a scrimmage match against Portland Community College at the Rock Creek Recreational Facility. The match is set for Tuesday, August 24 at 2 p.m.
