Box Score WALLA WALLA, Wash. — Walla Walla University took on #4 Corban University Saturday night. Despite the Wolves best efforts the nationally ranked team dominated the match (0-3, 6-25,10-25,10-25).
The Wolves struggled to find their own groove compared to the well-meshed Corban Warriors. Yet, despite the loss, the Wolves' efforts did not go unnoticed. Senior Jocelyn Curiel Ruiz had a big night with five kills, as well as freshman Femke Eising who also had five kills for the match. Setter Danielle Faamausili had 13 assists for the night. Eising and sophomore Celeste Santellano had six digs for the match.
On the Warriors side, Emma Bischoff had a great night for serving with five aces, followed by Emmi Marks who had two. Makayla Roginski had 11 kills followed by Rylees Troutman who had nine and Emma Bischoff who had seven. Setter Courtney Garwood had 20 assists for the match, followed by Abby Guindy who had 16.
The Wolves will be on the road for their next conference matches. Friday, September 22 they will be at #1 Eastern Oregon University. First serve is at 2 pm.
