Men's Basketball Split in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. — Walla Walla University Wolves traveled to Portland where they split their games against Multnomah and Warner Pacific. 

Walla Walla at Multnomah Game Notes (70-68):

Walla Walla played in an intense game against the Lions of Multnomah. Both teams evenly matched and fighting till the end. It was Miles MaCadory who won the game for Multnomah with his two free throws at the end of the second half. Ethan Ford got a defensive rebound from a missed three but missed his layup to tie up the game and go into overtime. Multnomah came out on top 70 to 68. 

Player Highlights:

  • Caleb Golden had 18 points and two steals

  • Soren Dalan earned his sixth double-double of the season with 12 points and 14 rebounds. He also had four assists, and two steals

  • Ethan Ford followed with 12 points, three assist, and three steals

Walla Walla at Warner Pacific Game Notes (89-87):

This was another fight to the finish, where the Wolves and Knights of Warner Pacific battled it out on the court. The Knights took the lead going into the half, up by four points, yet this didn't last for long as the Wolves closed the gap to only two. This battle continued as the game went on and it wasn't until a foul on Thomas Mestrov where he had one of his free throws, did that solidify the Wolves' victory, 89 to the Lions' 87.

Player Highlights:

  • Soren Dalan had another impressive game, earning his seventh double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds. He also added two assists to his stat sheet

  • Almonds Sebirokwa earned himself 20 points, three assists, one steal and 8 rebounds

  • Andrew Vaughan had 17 points, and one block for the afternoon

  • Ethan Ford followed with 10 points, four assists, and two steals

The Wolves are back on the road where they will go up against Northwest University at 2 pm on Friday and Evergreen State College at 9 pm Saturday evening.
