BILLINGS, Mont. —
Juan Lobos scored a goal in each half for the Walla Walla Men's Soccer team, but it was Rocky Mountain that earned a 6-2 victory in a Cascade Conference game on Friday.
Lobos got on the board in the 22nd minute and tallied his fifth goal of the season in the 65th minute. The pair of goals has moved the freshman to just one behind teammate
Paulo Tostado and former player Carlos Cantu for the most goals in a single season.
The Battlin' Bears (5-1-6, 4-1-4) were relentless on offense and David Russell scored for the home team twice in the first eight minutes. Aaron Lawson added a third goal in the first half for Rocky Mountain in the 38th minute and RMC led 3-1 at halftime.
Lorenzo Klamler scored twice in the span of just over five and a half minutes and extended the gap to 5-1. After Lobos scored his second goal of the game it was Russell who completed his hat trick in the 68th minute for Rocky Mountain.
Tostado had an assist and two shots in the contest for Walla Walla. Sebastian Vargas collected six saves.
