COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. — Freshman
Reese Snellman hit two crucial free throws late and Walla Walla Men's Basketball earned a tough fought 87-86 victory in an exhibition game against Unknown International Basketball Club on Monday.
Snellman was fouled with just over two seconds remaining with the Wolves trailing by one and he hit both at the line and the home crowd was able to celebrate at the conclusion of the first men's basketball game at Windemuth Court in the 2025-26 season. The freshman finished with a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Junior
Soren Dalan led WWU with 27 points and 13 rebounds.
Jordan Jackson added 17 points and
Chike Ezeonu reached double figures with 10 points. Snellman, Ezeonu and
JT Fenz had four assists each in the contest.
Walla Walla outrebounded Unknown International 53 to 43 and shot 41% from the field.
Kyson Rose and Conner Kelley led the visitors with 22 points each. Rose hit six 3-pointers in the game, but fouled out in the final minutes of the game. Kelley earned a double-double with 11 boards to go along with his strong offensive performance.
UP NEXT
Walla Walla travels to Montana for one more exhibition game against MSU-Billings on Saturday before the Wolves play their first counted game against Rocky Mountain on Sunday.
