COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. —
Chike Ezeonu recorded a double-double, but Walla Walla Men's Basketball fell to Montana State University-Northern 94-61 in a nonconference game on Monday at Windemuth Court.
Ezeonu had 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting and 10 rebounds for Walla Walla (0-3). It was the first time the senior topped double figures in points in his second year with the Wolves. Ezeonu also set a personal record in rebounds in the effort.
Reese Snellman had a season-high with 13 points.
Zeke Virtudes reached double-figures with 10 points and
Jordan Jackson finished with 10 points as well.
Kieran Clasen and Jackson both brought down seven boards and
JT Fenz dished out four assists.
MSU-Northern improved to 3-1 with its third consecutive victory. Five players scored double-digits for the Lights. Tracen Jilot led the way with 15 points. Claysen Delp added 12 points, Leon Sayers IV and Austin Ramos added 11 each and Luke Holecek contributed 10 points in the victory.
The Wolves kept the rebounding battle close but MSU-Northern held on to a 39-35 edge. Walla Walla had six steals and forced nine turnovers and were a strong 22-of-27 from the free throw line.

Walla Walla will host Whitman at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Windemuth Court. The Wolves will host a calendar poster signing after the game.
