Soren Dalan and
Chike Ezeonu all topped the 20-point mark for the Walla Walla Men's Basketball team, but it was Evergreen State that showed the better offense as the Wolves lost 117-91 in a Cascade Conference game on Friday afternoon.
Walla Walla is now 0-15 on the season and 0-9 in CCC play and Evergreen State has improved to 3-8 overall and 3-6 in conference action.
Jackson led the Wolves with 27 points and four steals while dealing with foul trouble the entire second half. Dalan had 20 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Ezeonu contributed 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting and a 6-of-7 performance at the free throw line.
Dalan increased his career point total to 853 and moved up two spots on the WWU career point leaderboard (since the Wolves joined the NAIA in 2009). The junior moved ahead of Caleb Gordon (834) and current assistant coach
Tyreek Luckett (844). Next up on the leaderboard is Ethan Ford at 864 for seventh place and Ethan Osias in sixth place with 875 points.
Walla Walla battled inside and had 42 points in the paint, 17 offensive rebounds and 16 second chance points. The Wolves were fantastic at the free throw line with a 26-of-29 performance at the stripe.
Evergreen State was led by Tony Frohlich-Fair who finished with 32 points, four steals, four rebounds and four steals. Kenzel Massey added 19 points, Jacob Laff scored 12 points and Bradley Graham finished with 10 points.
The Geoducks went 27-of-33 from the free throw line, led by Frohlich-Fair's 12-of-14 performance. TESC outrebounded the Wolves 40-34 and scored 27 points off of 18 turnovers.
