REDDING, Calif. — The Walla Walla Men's Volleyball team lost both matches in straight sets on the first day of the Cal Pac Jamboree on Wednesday.
The Wolves lost 25-17, 25-13, 25-18 to No. 10 Westcliff (9-4, 1-0) to open the action and 25-18, 25-14, 25-17 against Pacific Union (6-4, 1-0).
Walla Walla is now 0-6 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.
Ethan Gaines led WWU with 11 kills between the two matches.
JJ Lin-ao was second on the team with 10 kills.
Jonathan Vasquez Tobar had 28 total assists.
Andre Frank Avila Ribeiro collected 16 digs and
Ryen Cacal had an ace in both matches.

The Wolves are back in action with two matches on Thursday. Walla Walla faces Westcliff again at Noon and then against host Simpson at 5 p.m.
