REDDING, Calif. — The Walla Walla Men's Volleyball team lost two straight set contests at the CalPac Jamboree on Thursday.
The Wolves dropped the opener to No. 10 Westcliff (11-4, 3-0) in straight sets 25-9, 25-17, 25-16. WWU lost to host Simpson (9-8, 2-1) in a close 25-19, 26-24, 31-29 match at the end of the night.
Walla Walla is now 0-8 on the season and 0-4 in conference action.
The Warriors held the Wolves to just 14 kills in the opening match.
Ryen Cacal,
Keagan Griffin and
Caleb Brusett had three kills each for WWU.
Walla Walla had a stronger showing against Simpson and had a .126 hitting percentage as a team.
Ethan Gaines led the Wolves with nine kills and
Jonathan Vasquez Tobar had 26 assists.
