NAMPA, Idaho – Walla Walla University Cross Country traveled to Nampa, Idaho, Friday to compete in the Northwest Nazarene University Invitational at West Park, where the Wolves faced a competitive field featuring several regional programs.

The Walla Walla men finished sixth in the 8K with 140 points and an average team time of 26:33. Junior Isaac Acker led the way for the Wolves, turning in an outstanding performance to finish fourth overall in 24:57.2. Acker remained near the front of the field throughout the race and was the first Walla Walla runner across the finish line.

Junior Ryan Rosaasen followed with a 38th-place finish in 26:37.5. Freshman Jonas Kreitner continued to make an impact for the young Walla Walla squad, finishing 47th in 26:55.4.

Freshman Stephen Birmingham crossed the line 51st in 27:03.1, followed by freshman Luke Finlayson in 57th at 27:14.6. Junior Adrian VeraPreas rounded out the Walla Walla finishers, placing 87th in 32:02.1.

The Wolves' top five runners were separated by just over two minutes, with Acker's fourth-place finish providing a strong individual performance for Walla Walla.
