SPOKANE, Wash. – Walla Walla University men's cross country placed seventh out of nine teams in its season opener at the Clash of the Inland Northwest in Spokane on Friday.

Isaac Acker led the way for the Wolves, placing 28th out of 122 runners with a time of 25:04.6. Jonas Kreitner finished 67th in his WWU debut, posting a time of 26:39.2. Rounding out the top three for the Wolves was Ryan Rosaasen, who recorded a personal-best time of 26:44.8. Stephen Birmingham finished 85th with a time of 27:17.1 , while Luke Finlayson completed the Wolves scoring five in 89th at 27:39.2. 

WWU finished with 212 points, placing seventh overall and finishing ahead of crosstown rival Whitman College who scored 215 points.

The Clash of the Inland Northwest marked the beginning of the 2026 season for the Wolves, who will have one week to prepare for their next competition.
