James Hill

Jimmy Hill enters his 10th season as head men's basketball coach at Walla Walla University. He is currently entering season seven of his second stint as the head coach of the Wolves.  His best season in recent years was the 2013-2014, during which the Wolves went on a 9-game winning streak, and finished with an 11-18 record.  

Previous to coaching at WWU, Hill spent the 2010-2011 season as a Wolves assistant.  From 2007-2010 he was the head coach at Wenatchee Valley Community College.  The season before that he was a graduate assistant at Gonzaga University, during the 2006-2007 season.  

Hill's first period of coaching the Wolves was from 2003-2006.  Previous to that, he spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Whitman College.

Hill has his bachelors' degree in Mathematics from Whitman College, where he played basketball for two years.  In addition to coaching, Coach Hill is a teacher at Walla Walla High School, where he teaches math.  He lives in Walla Walla, Washington and is married to Julie Hill.
