Jose Garcia

Jose Garcia was named head men's soccer coach at Walla Walla University in 2025, bringing more than three decades of high school coaching experience and nearly 40 years of youth soccer development to the Wolves program.

Since taking over the men's soccer program, Garcia has helped guide the Wolves to one of the most competitive seasons in program history, narrowly missing a berth in the Cascade Collegiate Conference postseason tournament.

Prior to joining Walla Walla University, Garcia spent 33 years coaching at McLoughlin High School in Milton-Freewater, Oregon. During his distinguished tenure, he led the Pioneers to four Oregon state championships while developing numerous successful student-athletes and establishing one of the state's premier high school soccer programs.

In addition to his high school coaching career, Garcia has coached youth soccer for nearly 40 years, dedicating his career to developing players at every level of the game. His passion for teaching, mentoring and growing the sport has made a lasting impact on generations of athletes throughout the region.

Garcia holds an extensive collection of coaching credentials, including U.S. Soccer Federation B, C, D, E and F Licenses. He has also earned the United Soccer Coaches National Diploma, Advanced National Diploma, Premier Diploma and National Youth Diploma, reflecting his commitment to continued professional development and coaching excellence.

Garcia's coaching philosophy is centered on a genuine love for the game and a passion for helping young people grow both as athletes and as individuals. He strives to create an environment where student-athletes compete with discipline, character and a commitment to excellence while representing Walla Walla University.
