Walla Walla University Loses to College of Idaho in Home Opener

COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – Walla Walla University (0-1) loses to #11 NAIA ranked College of Idaho (5-4) in three sets. The scores were 25-10, 25-12, and 25-11.

College of Idaho was led by Jackie Van Vliet who had a great game with 7 kills and 3 blocks. Ashley Pagan added 8 kills to go along with Cheyan Coburn's 5 aces, Sydney Call's 12 assists, and Kilee Lopez's 8 digs.

Despite the team's hard play and the good efforts by Morgan Doyle (3 kills), Nilah Mataafa (7 assists), and Carly Ursino (5 digs). Walla Walla just couldn't hang with the Lady Yotes, who got 39 kills to Walla Walla's 10 and 36 assists to Walla Walla's 10.

The Lady Wolves plan to bounce back as they prepare to play at home against #1 CCC ranked Eastern Oregon University on Tuesday, September 6th at 6pm.
