Kirkland, Wash. – The Wolves continued their road trip by traveling to Northwest University for a 1:00 p.m. matchup against the Eagles on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles (3-4-3, 2-3-2 CCC) would use three first half goals en route to a 4-2 victory over the visiting Wolves (0-12-0, 0-11-0 CCC).
The Wolves defense would start much better in this match, as keeper
Kohl Tomcho would save five shots in the first 14 minutes. The Wolves defense would eventually break in the 18thminute. Midfielder Mikias Repsold would take a pass from Tyler Mcintosh and Jordan Travis and find the back of the net for the first goal of the match. Forward
Emmett Semple would have an equalizer opportunity two minutes later, however the shot was saved by Eagles keeper Noah Roberts. The Wolves would have a small hiccup in their defense, allowing two additional goals to the Eagles between the 24th and 26th minutes.
The Wolves would finally break through the Eagles defense in the 36th minute. Midfielder
Carlos Cantu would dribble through two defenders and put a shot from 12 yards out to find the back of the net - his 5th on the season. The Wolves would go into the half trailing 3-1.
Coming out of halftime, the Wolves were able to avoid the Eagles first few shots on goal, however in the 58th minute Trent Siedenburg would find the back of the net for his third goal of the season.
The match would get scrappy later on in the second half, as the Wolves would pick up two yellow cards in the 64th and 69th minute. Additionally, the Eagles would pick up a yellow card in the 78th minute leading to a penalty kick by Semple, who converted the kick for his third goal on the season.
The Wolves would be stuck on two goals and the Eagles would ride their three goal first half to drop the Wolves 4-2.
