Men's Soccer Drops First Conference Road Match at Evergreen State College

Olympia, Wash. – Walla Walla kicked off their first road trip of the conference season with a trip to Washington. Their first matchup was against the Geoducks of Evergreen State College (ESC), who was looking for their first conference win of the season. The Geoducks were able to convert a few scoring opportunities and claimed victory in the match, 3-1.

The first half was a defensive battle as each team had opportunities to score, however, in the 35th minute, the Geoducks finally broke through via Joe DiCarlo who found the back of the net off a pass from Alex Young, which gave ESC their only goal of the half. The Wolves found the equalizer goal early in the second half off the leg of Pedro Reyes, but the 1-1 score would not last long as the Geoducks scored the decisive second goal in the 60th minute. The Geoducks would add another goal while the Wolves could not find the back of the net for the rest of the match. The Geoducks went on to claim the match 3-1.
