Women's Basketball Goes Down at Multnomah University

Portland, Ore. - The Walla Walla Wolves were not able to repeat their win against the Multnomah Lions. The Wolves came out dry in the first quarter. They struggled to get the ball in the basket, while Multnomah came out hot, making their shots and playing tough defense. Towards the end of the first quarter, Carolina Montes puts the Wolves on the scoreboard with 2 points. At the end of the first quarter, the Wolves were down 14 points (24-10).
 
To begin the second quarter the Wolves were fired up. Coming in hot and closing the gap. The Wolves narrowed the Lions' lead to end the half 28-34.
 
In the second half, Isabella Robles, a freshman, and key player suffered an injury that took her out of the game. This incident halted the momentum for the Wolves, causing them to stay at 28 points the majority of the third quarter.
 
The Wolves struggled to keep up with the Lions tonight. Walla Walla lost the battle to the Lions 68-75. Carolina Montes was the top scorer for the night racking up 30 points for the Wolves. Paulina Quintana helped the Wolves with scoring a career-high of 13 points.
