COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. — Walla Walla (0-17, 0-12) played against the Northwest Eagles (7-11, 4-8) Friday afternoon on home court. Despite the Wolves' efforts, they could not catch up the Eagles, leading to their loss, 85-61.
On the Wolves end, the team couldn't keep up, missing crucial points, which led to their loss. Junior Ethan Ford scored 14 points and had six rebounds. Caleb Golden followed behind with 10 points for the afternoon. Darius Nichols and Andrew Vaughan both tied with 4 rebounds apiece. Andrew Vaughan led the team with 4 assists. Jordyn Perez also had a good game with 9 points—each was a three-pointer that he shot back to back.
For the Northwest Eagles, Lewis Pope had a great game with 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. Followed by O'Shae Barquet who had 15 points. Isaiah Dunn also put up some points with 14 and had 7 rebounds.
The Wolves will take the court again tomorrow evening at 9 pm, against the Evergreen State College Geoducks.
