WBB Weekend Recap: Tough Matches Despite Wolves Teamwork

La Grande, Ore. - The wolves fought hard in their away games but returned after two losses. On January 27, they played against Eastern Oregon and played the following day against College of Idaho.

Walla Walla vs. Eastern Oregon 62-79

Eastern Oregon was a tough opponent for Walla Walla keeping a high free throw percentage throughout the quarters. Points were spread across the board for EOU while WWU relied on a couple star players: These girls shined but it unfortunately wasn't enough to catch up the mountaineers.

Walla Walla vs. College of Idaho 57-69.

The Yotes were able to keep a sufficient lead for the Wolves to stay behind in this match. Led by Bryanna Graham with 16 points, College of Idaho went home with the win against WWU. However, several Wolves contributed well to this game: The Wolves worked well as a team in this game, but the Yotes were able to outcompete them. The Wolves have a busy week coming up with games Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. The Wolves take on Lewis-Clark State College Tuesday, January 31 at 5:30 pm on home court.
