Box Score COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. — Walla Walla University took on the Oregon Tech Owls, Friday afternoon, on home court. The Owls took the match in three, giving them their 8th conference win, and the Wolves their 16th loss.
It was an off day for the Wolves as they struggled to keep up with the Owls. Walla Walla fought hard for every point, with several long rallies mixed in. Oregon Tech on the other hand was playing a fast paced match and dominated in the offensive side with a kill percentage of .429 compared to the Wolves .137.
Oregon Tech's Brooke Cassidy led the team with 23 assists, followed by Paige Tevelde who had 13. Molly Grace led with 16 kills for the match, followed by Kate Hickswho with 10. Kaley Whalen had 13 digs for the match.
Walla Walla's Lauren Moody led the team in kills with eight, followed by transfer Natalia Jimenez with seven, and Femke Eising who had six. Sophomore Danielle Faamausili had 17 assists, followed by Meherio Krainer who had 12. Freshman Zoe Cessna led the team in digs with six, followed by Eising who had five.
The Wolves will be back on home court tomorrow night at 8 pm against the Southern Oregon who is ranked #3 in the CCC. Make sure to wear pink to the match as we will be doing a Pink Out!
