Women's Basketball: Jaliyah Gains Her 1,000th Career Point in Battle Against Warner Pacific

COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. — The Wolves lost in a tough battle to the Warner Pacific Knights, Friday afternoon, 54-64.

Going into the half, both teams were tied, 27-27. The Wolves came out hot after the half with Clara Campos making the three and getting an "and-one" to help take the lead. The lead continued until the 4th quarter, when the Wolves fouls piled up. Each of the Wolves players were in foul trouble, causing them to lose their lead and their momentum. Warner Pac capitalized on the Wolves fouls and took control, creating a 10 point spread that the Wolves were unable to close. Which ultimately led to the Knights win.

Jaliyah Casem had a big night, scoring her 1,000th career point in the game. Casem had 17 points in total for the game. Chariah Daniels led in rebounds with 10 and added 10 points to the score as well. Senior Savanah Zamora also had a good afternoon with 13 points.

On the Knights end, Paityn Rhode had the hot hand with 15 points, followed by McKeeley Tonkin who had three steals and 14 points. Bobbi Clark led the Knights with 8 rebounds for the game.

The Wolves are back again tomorrow night in their last game of the 22-23 season against the Multnomah Lions at 7 pm. We will be recognizing our seniors and all their hard work and dedication to Wolves Athletics!
