COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – Walla Walla beat Corban University for the first time on Friday afternoon 77-66. With this win, this is the first time the WWU women's basketball team has had four conference wins since joining the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
"It's great to have won four conference games, because it shows how their hard work is paying off. This is a special team, they get along and enjoy being around each other and it shows on the court," said head coach

Jaliyah Casem set a new personal record with 30 points to lead the wolves. "After the game I was proud of my girls for fighting and keeping the energy until the very end. I wouldn't be setting any new records without them," said Casem.
The Wolves had a strong lead at the half winning 42-26 against the Warriors. The game tightened up in the fourth quarter, but the Wolves kept their cool. The Warriors struggled to catch up and fouled to gain some time, but the Wolves made their free throws to secure the win.
Chariah Daniels contributed with another double double of 26 points and 16 rebounds. "We had some really good practices this week which prepared us for today's win. It was a total team effort with everyone contributing and I loved their energy," said Nakashima.
The Wolves made history in this game against Corban with a full team effort to win on their home court. They are ready to secure another win at home against Bushnell University tomorrow night.
