COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. — Walla Walla Men's Basketball took on the Owls of Oregon Tech Friday afternoon. The Owls came out on top with a 104-76 win over the Wolves.
The Wolves played a good first half, keeping up with the quick pace of the Owls, always keeping the game within a few points. However, Oregon Tech's quickness, along with their on point shooting, allowed them to pull ahead and take the win. Oregon Tech shot 57.4% for the game compared to Walla Walla's 44.1%. The Wolves did shoot 80% from the line, while the Owls only shot 60.9%.
For the Wolves Ethan Ford and Soren Dalan both tied with 16 points and seven rebounds apiece. Followed by Andrew Vaughan who had 15 points and three assists. Dillon Wasser led the team in assists with five. Josue Mireles also had an incredible night going four for six from the three and five for seven in the field, giving him a career high of 14 points.
On the Owls side, six players scored in the double digits, starting with Kam Osborn and Keegan Shivers who both had 18 points. Kam Osburn led the team with six assists as well, and Keegan Shivers earned himself a double-double with 10 rebounds as well. Erik Fraser and Kody Bauman both had 13 points. Jay Elmore had 15 points, and Jackson Cooper had 11.
The Wolves are back on home court tomorrow evening, where they will go up against the Raiders of Southern Oregon University. Tip-off is at 9 pm.
