College Place, Wash. — Walla Walla University took on the Raiders of Southern Oregon University in an epic late night Saturday matchup. The Raiders took the win 94 to 85.
It was a packed gym for the Wolves, which only helped the Wolves' energy as they played an impressive game against the Raiders. The Raiders had an early lead, but the Wolves slowly chipped at that lead, going from being down eight points halfway through the first half, to being up by three going into halftime.
The Wolves' lead didn't stop at halftime, they continued to spread the board, creating a six point lead within the first six minutes of the second half. It wasn't until eight minutes left of the second half did the Raiders make their comeback. The Raiders were not going to let the Wolves get off easy, as they started to take back control of the game, not stopping until they took home the win—which they did.
While the game did not go in favor of the Wolves, it was still an epic night for senior Ethan Ford, where he earned himself a new career high of 26 points. Soren Dalan also had himself a night, almost earning a double-double, with 12 points and nine rebounds. Dalan also scored his first three of the season, going one for one from the three, as well as adding two more blocks to his career stats. Caleb Golden and Almonds Sebirokwa tied with 10 points and two rebounds. Josue Mireles followed with 11 points for the evening. Ethan Ford led in assists with four, and added five rebounds to his stat sheet.
