COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. — Walla Walla University (1-5, 1-5 CCC) took on the Owls of Oregon Tech (6-5-1, 3-3-1 CCC) on home field in an early Friday match. The Owls took the win, 3-1.
After the first half, both the Owls and the Wolves turned up the heat, where Oregon Tech''s Andrew Pasang scored the first goal of the afternoon (49:05). Eniola Smith returned the favor, scoring his first career goal and Walla Walla's second goal of the season off of an assist from Fabien Graham, evening the score 1-1. However the Wolves were unable to seal the deal as the Owls finished strong, adding two more goals to their victory from Anthony Aguiar (assisted by Ben Bradshaw at 52:24) and another goal from Andrew Passang (assisted by Wolfgang Alvarado at 56:14).
Walla Walla's Sebastian Vargas had four saves for the match, while Oregon Tech's Ryan Solis had three.
The Wolves will be back on home field, Sunday afternoon against the Southern Oregon University Raiders at 1 pm.
