COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. — Walla Walla Men's Soccer (1-7-0, 1-7-0 CCC) took on the Lions of Multnomah University (7-5-2, 5-3-2 CCC) Friday afternoon where the Lions defeated the Wolves, 7-1.
The Lions were first to put a goal on the board from Nicolas Perdomo-Pinz who was assisted by Enrique Munoz and Hunter Martell (12:07). Then Wolves' Eniola Smith was able to respond back, earning his second goal of the season, and tie the score 1-1 with an assist from Soren Laack (15:35).. However this tied game did not last long as the Lions took the lead and did not slow down. Perdomo-Pinz scored the next four goals for the Lions where he was assisted by Aghlies Larmara at 27:22, then he scored his next goal with no assist (44:00) and then by Tomas Espinoza at 49:15. The sixth goal was scored by Hunter Martell who was assisted by Aghiles Larmara (60:28) and the final goal was from Paul Einero at 69:11.
Walla Walla's Sebastian Vargas had four saves, while Multnomah's Pablo Mendoza had three.
The Wolves will be back on home field on Sunday, October 27 where they will be playing in their final home game of the season against Warner Pacific University at 1 pm. There will also be a celebration for seniors,
Andres Espinel and Vini Silva during halftime of the women's soccer game at 10 am.
