COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. — Walla Walla University Women's Volleyball (8-11, 7-10 CCC) swept Warner Pacific University (2-17, 2-15 CCC) in three, Friday afternoon (25-18, 25-14, 25-17).
Walla Walla was in control of the game from the first serve, always staying a couple points ahead. The Wolves were able to secure the win in three after going to four sets with the Knights back in September. Walla Walla was led by
Sahara Browning and
Natalia Jimenez on the offense. Browning also earned her 300th conference kill, keeping her in the number one spot for the CCC and No. 5 in the nation for the NAIA. She had 10 kills for the match while Jimenez had 11. On the defensive end,
Idalis Bedore and
Kiana Cueto dominated with 12 and 13 digs respectively.
Danielle Faamausili had 18 assists and
Melissa Monterroza had 10.
On the Knights end, Elizabeth Reid led the offense with seven kills, followed by Maryann Tulele and Edita Ljuca who both had four kills. Amor Rapoza led with eight assists followed by Dasici Burrows who had seven. Angel Camagay dominated on defense with 13 digs for the afternoon.
The Wolves will be back on home court tomorrow evening where they will take on the Lions of Multnomah at 8 pm.
