Wolves Fall to Rocky Mountain College in Sunday Matchup

COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. — Walla Walla University (0-5, 0-5 CCC) took on Rocky Mountain College (4-4, 3-2 CCC) on home field, where the Battlin' Bears took the win 5-0.

Walla Walla and Rocky Mountain played a hard fought game, especially in the first half. It wasn't until after the half that the Battlin' Bears picked up the pace, scoring five goals to Walla Walla's zero. Nolan Finch scored two goals for Rocky Mountain (48:45 and 86:33) and was assisted by Igor Soares for both goals. Igor Soares followed up his assists with two back-to-back goals at 51:16 and 57:42. Devon Soares was also another vital player for the Bears as he scored the only other goal for Rocky Mountain at 74:40.

On Walla Walla's end, Bruno Cascardo was the only player to shoot on goal, giving Rocky Mountain's goalie their one and only save for the match. The Wolves' goalie, Sebastian Vargas, earned eight saves for the match.

Walla Walla will be back on home field where they will take on Oregon Tech Friday, October 11 at 12 pm. Followed by Southern Oregon University on October 13 at 1 pm.
