WALLA WALLA, Wash. —
Chariah Daniels recorded her 35th double-double for the Walla Walla Women's Basketball team in an 86-45 loss to No. 13 Lewis-Clark State in a Cascade Conference game at Windemuth Court on Thursday.
Daniels finished with 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting and 10 rebounds for the Wolves.
Walla Walla dropped to 3-7 overall and 0-4 in CCC play with the loss.
Natalee Trevino led WWU with 13 points.
Sidney Folkenberg and Trevino had three assists each and
Jordan Green-Wallace had a block. The Wolves shot well from the field in the middle two quarters going for a combined 12-for-25 (48%).
Ellie Sander led LC State with 17 points. Lindsey Wilson had 12 points, Tatum Brager added 11 and Darian Herring finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Warriors are now 9-0 overall and 4-0 in league play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Lewis-Clark State was able to score the first 11 points before Daniels was able to get the Wolves on the board with a layup. Green-Wallace added a jumper and Daniels had another basket in the first quarter.
Walla Walla went on a 10-3 run capped by a Trevino layup to cut the Warrior lead to eight with 4:48 to go in the first half. LC State responded and scored 14 of the final 17 games of the half. The Wolves trailed 40-21 at the break.
Jaylo Bello connected with a 3-pointer early in the third quarter.
Sidney Folkenberg and Trevino hit layups on back-to-back WWU possessions.
In the fourth quarter Trevino hit a pair of free throws, Folkenberg had a layup, Green-Wallace connected from beyond the arc and a free throw and Trevino ended the scoring with a layup.
