KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — (RV) Oregon Tech scored the first 13-points and went on to win 81-44 against the Walla Walla Women's Basketball team in a Cascade Conference game on Friday at Danny Miles Court.
The Wolves drop to 4-13 overall and 1-10 in CCC play.
Natalee Trevino led Walla Walla with 13 points with three 3-pointers.
Chariah Daniels had 12 points, six rebounds and three steals.
The third quarter was a bright spot for the Wolves as the team shot 7-of-16 from the field and scored 19 points. Walla Walla had a solid performance at the free throw line with a 9-of-11 team stat line.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After the Owls scored the first 13 points,
Sidney Folkenberg got WWU on the board with a pair of free throws. Daniels made the first field goal for the Wolves with a layup 41 seconds later. Daniels scored inside on the next Walla Walla possession and
Jaylo Bello made a free throw.
Bello got the scoring started for WWU with a jumper and
Mireyah Lopez got on the board with a successful shot. Bello connected on the only 3-pointer for Walla Walla in the first half. Oregon Tech led 43-14 at halftime.
The shooting improved in the third quarter for the Wolves. Daniels made a jumper and then Trevino took over. The sophomore connected from beyond the arc on three consecutive possessions and cut the lead to 28. Daniels made two baskets and a free throw and
Allison Haslam was successful on a 3-point shot.
Lopez hit a 3 in the fourth quarter. Trevino hit a pair of free throws and Daniels was 1-of-2. Haslam made one more 3-pointer and Trevino finished off the scoring with two free throws.

The Wolves will complete the road trip to Oregon with a tough test against No. 4 Southern Oregon in Ashland, Ore. at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
